You know what I hate?
The whole idea of the friend zone.
It’s just so fucking dumb.
It’s nothing more than an explanation people use when their ego is so big that they can’t believe that someone doesn’t want to date them.
If you want to date someone and you aren’t at the moment, there are only a few explanations:
- You haven’t made known your desire to date this person well enough
- You have made your desire known but they don’t want to date you
Barring rare special occasions, this is why you’re not dating that person you want to date.
It’s not because you waited too long. It’s not because you missed your chance for her to think of you as anything but a friend. It’s because she doesn’t want to date you.
People who blame the absence of this desire on the friend zone need to get over themselves.
